I Killed the Prom Queen- Music for the Recently Deceased
May 22nd 2008 06:54
Music for the Recently Deceased the new album from Adelaide Metal/Hardcore band I Killed the Prom Queen is the best CD I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing all year. With new front man Edward Butcher these guys have developed a bigger better more complex sound. I do like their previous sound when Krafter was still on the scene, however when I saw them at Hardcore 2006 at the Gaelic Club, I was blown away by their performance & much prefer Ed’s style as a vocalist. He has a better range & his lyrics have an abstract edge about them. I’m also really impressed with the guitar work on this album. I absolutely love the guitar solos, which is funny because I usually tend to cringe through them, but these ones manage to make me do a 180. The whole album is so well arranged I don’t think there’s a single track or part to it I don’t like. If you don’t have this album go out & buy it now! I am left asking one question though… Ed, how do you manage to growl so low in jeans so god damn tight?
